Abstract

1393179 Shoots TICKHILL ENG CO Ltd 19 April 1973 [19 April 1972] 18216/72 Heading B8S A shoot for retarding the passage therethrough of articles, comprises a tubular member 12 of flexible material suspended from its upper end, and a plurality of resilient ties 16 spaced along the length of the tube and coupling opposed portions of the tube to frame members 11, whereby the tube is substantially flattened in the tie positions, reducing the cross-section to retard the article passage therethrough. A lazy tongs arrangement 13 at opposite sides of the member 12 is coupled to ties 16, and through a manual screw threading arrangement can be raised and lowered along the member 11 to vary the length of the member 12 to suit the prevailing conditions.
