Abstract

1392000 Irrigation dripper unit STANDARDS INSTITUTION OF ISRAEL and I GILAAD 17 May 1972 [23 May 1971 30 Jan 1972] 23290/72 Heading A1B In order to achieve a slow rate of water discharge, an irrigation dripper unit comprises two members, one of which includes a groove thereon which groove has bends of 90‹ or more at predetermined intervals therealong and together with a surface of the second member defines a water conduit having a resistance to water flow. The unit may be connected to a main water supply line or it may be part of the line and the members may be tubular or flat. The inlet to the unit preferably has a diameter or cross section less than the conduit and, where the main water conduit passes through the emitter unit, the inlet may extend circumferentially of the main water conduit or parallel thereto. The conduit in the unit may feed a plurality of outlets. A number of groove configurations are disclosed and in one (Fig. 5) the unit comprises an inner sleeve member 30 formed with ribs on the outer surface and -an outer tubular member 31 and the unit is connected to a supply line via a main inlet and outlet 32, 33. The conduit is defined by the ribs and the inner surface of the tubular member 31 and water leaves it at 36', 36".
