1390626 Master cylinders GIRLING Ltd 17 Oct 1973 [17 Nov 1972] 53119/72 Addition to 1326341 Heading F2F In an improvement in or modification of the master cylinder of Specification 1,326,341 a force input member 38 acts on the piston assembly through a deformable means in the form of helical compression spring 43 whereby the piston assembly is advanced in the bore, at least initially, through a distance effectively less than the distance through which the input member is moved to impart that motion to the piston assembly. The spring may be replaced by a Belleville washer or a block of resilient material. There may be as shown two piston assemblies in parallel bores in the housing with the input member acting through a common balance bar.
