1312259 Hydraulic systems; reciprocating pumps GULLICK DOBSON Ltd 2 Dec 1970 [30 Sept 1969] 47879/ 69 Headings F1A and F1P A stroke limiting device for a piston 11 which slides within a cylinder 10 and delivers or receives a measured quantity of liquid to or from a ram comprises a stroke limiting rod 12 which is selectively adjustably positioned by a series of abutments 14.. 17. As shown the abutments 14..17 are integral with the rod 12 and cooperate with a stop 18 fast with the cylinder 10. In Fig. 3 (not shown), the abutments comprise a series of adjustably positioned screws in a disc (13) fast with the rod 12. The screws are selectively engaged with the stop (18). In Fig. 4 (not shown), the rod (12) is selectively engaged with a series of abutments formed on a block (13a) which is rotatably mounted on the cylinder. In Fig. 5 (not shown), the rod (12) co-operates with abutment faces (14..17) on a block (13b) eccentrically mounted on a pin (20) so that by turning the block (13b) about the pin (20) different abutment faces are presented to the rod (12). In Fig.6 (not shown) the piston (10) and cylinder (11) deliver a measured quantity of fluid to a hydraulic ram. In Fig. 7 (not shown) the piston and cylinder (10, 11) receive a measured quantity of liquid from a ram.
