Abstract
1390064 Analogue to digital converter G ZSCHIMMER 28 Feb 1972 [3 March 1971 11 Feb 1972] 50000/74 Divided out of 1390063 Heading G4H In a dual romp analogue to digital converter, the second (down) romp is generated by integrators of a reference voltage which is variable in magnitude with the input signal so that the input and output have a non-linear relationship. The reference signal may be directly related to the input voltage or may be formed by summing the input voltage and a fixed voltage by a series connection. Means may be provided to bias the input voltage for the up romp so that the resulting input has constant polarity (parent Specification 1,390,063).
