Abstract

138,990. Haigh, W. Feb. 14, 1919. Handles with clamping-devices for brushes and mops; axial holding-devices. - A brush or mop head is secured to its handle by an adjustable clamping-device embracing the brush head or mop and slidably operated along the sides of the handle by milled nuts. A spike projecting axially from the end of the handle may be provided to engage the head or mop. As shown, the handle A has a projecting spike B on which the brushhead C, or mop D, is impaled, and the head is secured by a clamping-wire E passing round it and slidably engaging eyelets or guides F on the sides of the handle. The ends of the wires F are threaded for engagement of milled nuts G for tightening-up the clamp. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 9325/10.
