1389773 Pipe couplings HEPWORTH IRON CO Ltd 11 Sept 1973 42666/73 Heading F2G In a spigot and socket pipe coupling having a sealing ring 4, the faces 10, 12 (10A, 12A in Fig. 2, not shown) at which a locking ring 9 is bonded to the mouth of a plastics socket are perpendicular to the axis of the coupling. The bonding may be effected by heating or ultrasonic welding.
