Abstract

1389748 Filter elements SINTERMETALLWERK KREBSOGE GmbH 15 Aug 1972 [8 Sept 1971] 38061/72 Heading BID A filter element comprises two concentric tubes of sintered material joined together at one end and defining an annular outlet (or inlet) space 15 which communicates with apertures 6 in end plate 5 to which the tubes 8, 9 are attached. As shown plate 5 is secured to the downstream end of a pipe 3 along which fluid passes. The space 15 is defined by cylindrical surfaces spaced apart by steel mesh 15 or by projections 17 extending from one surface to engage the other. The upstream faces of the element are frusto-conical. A plurality of elements could be arranged in parallel in one pipe.
