Abstract

1304311 Fluid regulation GUSTAVSBERGS FABRIKER A B 28 April 1971 [26 May 1970] 11981/71 Heading G3H A device for maintaining constant a liquid flow through a duct, comprises two housing members 1, 2 which at their respective ends are connectible to the duct, and a hollow elastic insert 4 which is a tight fit within a conical portion of housing member 1, the insert being retainable in position by abutments 6, 3 which are connected to the respective housing members 1, 2 by webs 7, 8. A spiral groove 5 is formed at the inner periphery of housing member 1 and is in communication both with the upstream and downstream ends of the device. The insert interior is subjected to the inlet pressure and so fluctuations in the latter vary the degree to which the insert projects into the spiral groove. The groove may, alternatively, be formed partly in each of the housing member 1 and the insert 4, solely in the insert 4 or may be substituted by axially extending grooves.
