Abstract
1389519 Dynamo - electric machines ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 8 May 1973 [9 May 1972] 21742/73 Heading H2A The stator 10 of an electric machine comprises two mirror symmetrical parts 15 each including a half annular ferromagnetic body 11a carrying two part annular permanent magnets 12a so that the assembled stator comprises permanent magnet poles 12 disposed opposite one another on the inner surface of an annular flux return member 11, the ends of the magnets 12a of the two stator parts 15 abutting one another on the line of separation of the two half annular bodies 11a. The ends of the bodies 11a are spaced slightly apart and the magnets 12a are secured to the bodies 11a by plastics material 17 which also fills the spaces between the ends of the bodies 11a. Each half stator 15 is moulded into a half housing (110), Fig. 2 (not shown) of plastics material containing recesses (112) for bearings, recesses (117) for brush holders, tags 240 for mounting the machine on a support and pins (151) and holes (152) which interengage on assembly of the two half housings to secure the two together. The housing halves may also include recesses for housing output gearing 233, Fig. 5 (not shown), of the machine.
