Abstract

1389458 Dry cleaning STEAMATIC Inc 22 Nov 1972 [8 Dec 1971 16 Feb 1972] 54094/72 Headings D1A and DIP Dry cleaning apparatus comprises a tool 32 for presenting to a fabric and having a nozzle 34 connected to a pump 13 for spraying solvent onto the fabric and a suction passage 31 for drawing solvent first from the fabric and directing it to a chamber 25 in which the solvent evaporates from the dirt and having a suction pump 12 with an exhaust outlet 17. The chamber 25 is part of a portable housing 7 enclosing a solvent reservoir 22 and the pumps 12, 13 and the solvent may be a chlorinated hydrocarbon such as trichloroethane, perchloroethylene tri-chloroethylene and methylene chloride.
