Abstract

1388165 Pulse radar STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd 13 July 1972 32735/72 Heading H4D In a pulse M.T.I. radar system receiver an output from detector 5 adjusts the gain in the input path to amplifiers 4 (which may be the R.F. amplifiers). Moving target detection is thereby stated to be simplified as compared with a conventional system Fig. 3 (not shown). The radar may be of the coherent or non-coherent kind, and utilizes range quanta. A switched multiple high-pass filter, with one capacitor for each range quantum Fig. 10 yields a signal Fig. 11 which controls the gain as a negative feedback. A digital filter may be employed.
