Abstract

1387645 Venting switches S & C ELECTRIC CO 10 March 1972 [7 Sept 1971] 14331/74 Heading H1N A vent, e.g. for the breather of Specification 1,387,644, comprises a tubular fitting 46 containing a screen 51 and having a bulbous rim 54 spaced from an annular flange 48 which limits the extent that a knurled section .47 of the vent can be pressed into an opening in the breather. The rim 54 ends in a plane surface 60 so forming a deep sharp-edged groove 62 so that rain water is deflected from the opening in the vent.
