Abstract

1387226 Valves MESSER GRIESHEIM GmbH 28 Aug 1973 [16 Dec 1972] 40534/73 Heading F2V A valve system for preventing the complete emptying of a gas cylinder comprises a flexible disc 72 which seats against a disc 62 to prevent further flow when the pressure in a channel 50 from the cylinder has fallen to a predetermined value, flow normally taking place via apertures 70 in a second flexible disc 60 and apertures 76 in the disc 62. When it is required to re-charge the cylinder, gas under pressure supplied to the bore 12 passes through the central aperture 68 in the disc 72 and the central aperture 74 in the disc 62, lifts the flexible disc 60 off its seating and flows via apertures 70 to the channel 50. Discs 60 and 72 may be made of rubber and disc 62 of steel. The discs are retained by a pressedin steel ring 64.
