Abstract

1,272,164. Fluid pressure brakes; valves. ROBERT BOSCH G.m.b.H. 2 Sept., 1970 [28 Nov., 1969], No. 41977/70. Headings F2F and F2V. A relief valve for a multi-circuit compressed air brake system comprises a housing and two individual valve assemblies, each including a valve closure member 26, 27 urged against a valve seat 24, 25 by a spring 28, 29, the loading of which can be regulated by means of an adjusting screw 28<SP>11</SP>, 29<SP>11</SP>. Each closure member 26, 27 has a disc-shaped seating surface 30, 31 and an annular sealing flange 32, 33 with a lip 36, 37 by which it can slide over the outer surface of a sleeve 40, 41, surrounding the spring 28, 29. Air is supplied through inlets 22, 23 and exhausted from a common outlet 43, the springs being adjusted so that the valves open at different pressures.
