Abstract
1386430 Aerating and circulating liquids HEINRICH KOPPERS GmbH 17 April 1972 [27 April 1971] 17519/72 Heading B1C A circulation aid 2 for coupling to the impeller 6 of a centrifugal surface aerator comprises a shaft 1 fitted with two or more arms each constituted by a pair of parallel plates having vanes extending therebetween and perpendicular to the plates, each vane having a leading edge and a trailing edge disposed in a plane perpendicular to the plates and inclined within the range between 15 to 30 degrees with respect to a tangent to the path followed by the mid point of the plane upon rotation of the shaft. The vanes may be plane or curved and inclined at the angle α of between 15 to 30 degrees. The circulation aid may be supported within a bearing 7.
