Abstract

1386222 Invalid lifting device SODERBERG TOLLAM AB 24 May 1973 24907/73 Heading B8H Apparatus for lifting patients in to and out of baths comprises a column 3 housing an hydraulic actuator 13 connected to a crossbeam 16 coupled with side members 17 movable along vertical guides 12. A pair of arms 2 connected to the side members 17 engage and lift the bath to immerse a patient on a seat or platform 6. The seat or platform is pivoted on the column about a vertical axis to move a patient from the side of the bath to a position over the bath. In an alternative embodiment Fig. 6 (not shown), the bath is fixed and the seat or platform is vertically movable.
