Abstract

Wave energy, utilizing.-A device for utilizing wave-energy comprises a series of buoys e running on small wheels l bearing against pillars d in channels a formed by means of walls b. The channels are so arranged that waves entering at one end are converted into a rising current, which acts on the buoys in turn. The buoys are connected by chains o to gearing q, by means of which machinery is driven. The apparatus may be used for pumping water to a reserve reservoir for actuating turbines.
