Abstract
1385653 Dolls &c GEOBRA BRANDSTATTER GmbH & CO KG 5 Feb 1973 [5 Feb 1972] 5678/73 Heading A6S A doll has a support member comprising a horizontal bar 2 with upstanding shanks 5, 6 having forked ends to receive the pivots 15, 16 of its arms, a pair of extensions 3, 4 which between them retain the neck of its head 26, and a pair of downwardly extending resilient tabs 7, 8 for the pivots 41, 42 of its legs 39, 40. The support member is entirely surrounded by a body member 33, 34, 37, 38. The extensions 3, 4 of the support member snap behind a triangular extension 28 of the doll's neck. The head 26 is formed with a radial tab (51), Fig. 3 (not shown), which moves along a slot (50) in a collar 32 as the head is turned, until it abuts the end of the slot, to limit motion of the head. The top of the head 26 is flattened and has a locking ridge 29 for releasable engagement by a simulated wig, hat, &c 30. As shown, two separate legs 39, 40 are provided one having a pin 48 journalled in a hole in the other. Rearwards movements of the legs 39, 40 is limited by a stop (9), Fig. 2 (not shown), integral with and extending from the horizontal bar 2 of the support member. Alternatively, the legs 39, 40 may be unitary. Decorative accessories such as a clergyman's collar, a lawyer's band, a bridal train, &c can be hung from the neck portion 32. Tools, &c can be pressed or clipped into the doll's hands 19, 20. The body member 33, &c may be contoured to resemble a suit, overalls, &c.
