Abstract

1385029 Briquetting presses COOPERS (METALS) Ltd 19 Jan 1973 [23 Nov 1971] 2769/73 Heading B3H A briquetting press of the type with a pelletizing box 12 in which metal swarf is retained by fluid operated rams and compressed by a main ram 13 slidable through a guide bush 15 has the bush formed of two semi-cylindrical halves so that it can be removed from the press without removing the ram. The bush is made of cast iron and held in position by a plate 9 bolted to a bush holder 16. The bush is provided with radial holes for a lubricant and a smooth bore.
