1383657 Air cushion vehicles PNEUMATIQUES CAOUTCHOUC MFG ET PLASTIQUES KLEBER-COLOMBES 3 Feb 1972 [12 Feb 1971] 5209/72 Heading B7K An air cushion vehicle skirt 10 which, when assembled on a vehicle, is downwardly and inwardly inclined by an angle # is provided with one or more cut-out areas of substantially triangular shape each covered by a frusto-conical panel 11 to enable water scooped into the cushion space to escape without serious loss of cushion pressure. Each panel may have an opening adjacent its apex to facilitate outflow of water, it may be elastic or, if inelastic, its edges may be connected by elastic ties. Each panel may also be reinforced on its outer surface by flexible metal straps.
