1479001 Edging strips METZELER GUMMITECHNIK GmbH 17 May 1974 [18 May 1973] 22003/74 Heading B5K [Also in Divisions E1 B6 and B7] A protection strip for covering an edge of a motor vehicle comprises a body member 10 with two shanks, the inside surfaces of which have securing lugs 12 and wherein one shank has its surface flocked by an electrostatic process, with synthetic plastics fibres or natural textile fibres 13, and the other shank has a lining of foamed rubber or softened PVC profile section which may comprise a sealing lip 14, Fig. 1, or an impact absorbing strip 31, Fig. 2. A metal reinforcement 11 is embedded in the body member.
