Abstract

1383601 Containers for emergency equipment FRANKENSTEIN GROUP Ltd 29 Aug 1973 [2 Sept 1972] 40820/72 Addition to 1263755 Heading B8P [Alo in Division E2] A container as described in the parent Specification 1,263,755 has its two halves secured together by a U-shaped moulded closure strip. The strip which may be of nylon engages by arms 31, 32 the peripheral flanges of the halves of the container and is reinforced at spaced intervals by enlarged portions 30. Abutting ends of the strip are connected by a wire engaging lugs 35 at the ends of the strip. In another arrangement a ball on one end of the strip engages a socket on the other end (Fig. 4, not shown). The flanges can be treated to increase the friction between the strip and the flanges. Tampering with the contents can be detected since once the strip has been removed it is difficult to replace it satisfactorily. The container parts can be hinged by a strip of rubberized fabric.
