Abstract

1357096 Carrying handles MARDON ILLINGWORTH Ltd 24 Sept 1971 [6 Oct 1970 1 June 1971] 47375/70 and 18476/71 Heading G [Also in Division B8] An integrally moulded assembly of container 20 and hinged handle 24, 25 comprises a flange 21 moulded to the container adjacent its open end and merging through the inner flexible webs 22, 23 into a handle 24 which may be raised out of the plane of the flange through 90 degrees to a carrying position at 25. The container may be of any shape, e.g. circular, rectangular or elliptical. The handle may extend only a quarter of the circumference of a circular container and be joined thereto via the web to a spigot-like flange Figs. 1 and 2, (not shown), or there may be two oppositely extending quarter-circumferential handles, or two opposite half-circumferential handles joined to opposite spigot flanges Figs. 5 and 6, (not shown). The container and handle may be of polypropylene.
