1383048 Gun barrels RHEINMETALL GmbH 16 Aug 1972 [6 Oct 1971] 38269/72 Heading F3C A gun barrel 1 is provided with equi-spaced longitudinally extending ribs 2 having curved portions 3 therebetween. A plane "X" passes through a pair of ribs 2 and through the longitudinal axis of the barrel 1, and a plane "Y" passes through another pair of ribs 2 and through the longitudinal axis of the barrel. The wall of the barrel is a minimum dimension at the positions coinciding with diagonals Z.
