Abstract
1382863 Linear motors CONZ-ELEKTRICITATS GmbH 5 April 1972 [5 April 1971] 15624/72 Heading H2A A slotted, laminated core 2 of a linear motor is secured to a base member 12 by at least one bolt 11 passing through a bore in the core and engaging a threaded bore in a cross-piece 3 passing transversely of the core through a slot 1 and having enlarged outer ends to hold the laminations together. As shown in Fig. 5 the ends of the cross-piece are notched at 7, 8, 7<SP>1</SP>, 8<SP>1</SP> to facilitate their expansion by a drift. One end of the cross-piece may be expanded on to an insulated disc (15), Fig. 5a (not shown). Alternatively the end engaging the disc may be headed, Fig. 6 (not shown). The notches in the ends of the cross-piece may be omitted and the ends simply upset, Fig. 8 (not shown). Also, the cross-piece may be coated with insulating material.
