Abstract

1382675 Dveing cellulose-polvamide mixtures HOECHST AG 25 Feb 1972 [25 Feb 1971] 8878/72 Heading D1B Cellulose-synthetic polyamide mixtures are dyed in a single bath by the exhaustion method by (a) treating the material with an aqueous liquor comprising an alkaline agent, e.g. trisodium phosphate, a reactive dye and optionally a non-reactive metal-complex dye at 20- 80‹C at pH 9-12, (b) subsequently, in either order, adjusting the pH to 6.6-7.2 and adding a non reactive metal-complex dye if not already present and (c) treating the material in the liquor at 95-105‹C. Stage (a) preferably takes 40 to 60 minutes and the pH is adjusted with acetic acid. The reactive dye may be of the azo, anthraquinone or. phthalocyanine series and the metal complex dye may be a 1:1 copper, chromium or cobalt or a 2:1 chromium or cobalt complex.
