Abstract

1381770 Joint boxes NORDISKE KABELOG TRAADFABRIKER AS 4 Dec 1972 [8 Dec 1971] 55926/72 Heading H2E Frusto-conical end portions 2 of a joint sleeve are inclined relative to the middle portion 1 so as to provide a straight hinge 4, opposite a slit 3, to allow easy opening. The hinge 4 is formed by a thin region of the material. The sleeve, of flexible plastics material, is moulded in its opened-out state (Fig. 2). The edges of the two halves have a snap catch 8, 9 to hold them together. Tape may also be wound round the sleeve to hold it closed. The sleeve may have one or more side branches 5.
