A plant tie comprises a flexible strip in the form of an open loop 1 formed from or covered with resilient synthetic plastic material and wherein the end portions 2 are curved first towards the centre of the loop as at 3 and then away from one another. The cross section of the strip may be a segment of a circle, the flat face of the strip forming the inner face of the loop. The strip may have a flexible metal core.
