Abstract

[Also in Division E2] An irrigation or drainage pipe of synthetic plastic material, comprises a synthetic foil on the longitudinal edges of which are formed, over the entire length of the foil, uniform closure elements in the form of elongated T- shaped extensions 2, the latter being uniformly spaced apart so as to define T-shaped recesses 3 similar to the extensions in configuration. The base length a of the recesses is shorter than the base length b of the extensions, the extensions of one edge being substantially opposite the recesses of the other edge, and the extensions of both edges hooking together in the region of the recesses. As shown, the extensions project into the pipe interior, and the extensions and recesses are so shaped that concealed slit openings are formed between the longitudinal edges of the recesses and the extensions.
