A rigid pipe 10 for drainage or irrigation and of hard plastics material is rendered flexible substantially in one plane by being formed with two sets of axially spaced transverse cuts or slots 11, 12 in its wall, each slot having its ends in the region of a longitudinal plane normal to the require plane of flexibility of the pipe and extending round part of the circumference of the pipe, the slots of one set lying in one part and those of the other set in the remaining part of the circumference, and the ends of the slots of one set being axially spaced from those of the other set. A number of arrangements of slots are described.
