A clip for holding sheet material comprises a shell bearing a flange 11 bearing first and second members 12, 13 terminating in hook members 15, 16 respectively and a core 17. In use sheet material 23 is wrapped around the core 17 and inserted between the hook members 15, 16, so that as the sheet is tensioned the bead 19 of the core 17 is pulled into the curved part 14 of the shell. The flange 11 may bear apertures for attachment to a support. The clip may be formed of metal or plastics.
