Abstract

1381246 Doped zinc oxide MATSUSHITA ELECTRIC INDUSTRIAL CO Ltd 1 March 1973 [1 March 1972 (7)] 10052/73 Headings C1A and C1J [Also in Division H1] A varistor material consists of a sintered body of ZnO containing as additives 0À1-3À0 mol. per cent of Bi 2 O 3 , 0À05-3À0 mol. per cent of Sb 2 O 3 and 0À1-3À0 mol. per cent of MnF 2 . The examples given in the Specification include as further additives (i) 0À1-3À0 mol. per cent of CaO or 0À1-3À0 mol. per cent of MnO; or (ii) 0À1-3À0 mol. per cent of CoO, 0À1-3À0 mol. per cent of MnO, and one member of the group consisting of (a) 0À05-3À0 mol. per cent of Cr 2 O 3 , (b) 0À1-3À0 mol. per cent of SnO 2 , (c) 0À1- 10-0 mol. per cent of SiO 2 and (d) 0À05-3À0 mol. per cent of Cr 2 O 3 and 0À1-10À0 mol. per cent of SiO 2 .
