Abstract
1381224 Knitting-machines ELITEX-ZAVODY TEXTILNIHO STROJIRENSTVI GENERALNI REDITELSTVI 16 May 1973 [18 May 1972] 23317/73 Heading D1C In a superposed cylinder machine plating is achieved by feeding yarns onto the top of the hook of an arcuate sinker which is then withdrawn slightly to allow loops to be drawn by the needles. Plating is achieved on upper or lower needles or both. As shown in Figure 5 the sinker 10 is at its innermost position, and yarns P 1 , P 2 are laid thereon, withdrawal of the needle has commenced. During further needle withdrawal, Figure 6, the sinkers are pushed out slightly so that the yarns slip off the hook and can be drawn into loops by the needles. As shown in Figure 12, latches of upper needles 4, once clear of a latch guard, push the laid yarns into the needle hooks.
