Abstract

1378865 Installing plumbing arrangements WIRSBO BRUKS AB 20 Dec 1971 59182/71 Heading E1A A method of installing a plumbing arrangement in a multi-storey building comprises the steps of installing in the structure of the building during its erection a duct system comprising duct sections 2, 4, 12 interconnected by junction boxes 3, 3', 3", the duct sections 2, 4 leading to connection points for service units, e.g. taps, and then installing in the duct system a pipe system comprising flexible pipe sections 6, 8, 10, 11 in the duct sections and interconnected by distributor or collector'devices 7, 7', 7" in the junction boxes. As shown, a main distributor or collector device 5 at ground level is connected with distributors or collectors 7 &c by pipe sections 6, 11, 10 forming a ring main, and from each distributor &c a number of branch pipe sections 8 extend to respective storey connection points 9. The various components may be of metal, e.g. copper, or plastics, with suitable insulation, and the duct system is embedded in the concrete of the building. The pipe system may serve for water supply, heating, sewerage &c.
