Abstract

1378659 Donning and doffing; transporting bobbins TOYODA JIDOSHOKKI SEISAKUSHO KK 11 Dec 1971 [11 Dec 1970] 34973/74 Divided out of 1378658 Headings D1D and DIF A device for doffing full packages and donning fresh bobbins in a spinning and twisting machine comprises a conveyor belt 38 with a lower run 38" which delivers fresh bobbins to the spindles and an upper run 38' which removes full packages. A gripping device 34, 35 is operated in a sequence which first doffs full packages and places them on pegs 44 on the upper run of the conveyor, then removes bobbins from the lower run and places them on the spindles. The gripping devices are mounted on a beam 12 moved vertically by a system of levers and screw threads and sideways by pivoting under the control of pushrods 15 driven by a centrally located screw device. The device operates automatically according to a predetermined program when the yarn packages reach a predetermined full size.
