Abstract

1378082 Vibratory mills; comminuting apparatus N K VERWALTUNGS AG 8 March 1972 [9 March 1971] 10713/72 Heading B2A A comminuting apparatus comprises a closed chamber 10 in which an impacting device is mounted for reciprocating movement of predetermined stroke length, the impacting device comprising a smooth cylindrical body 18 with plane parallel end faces and with an axial through-bore 19 loosely fitting on a shaft 15 mounted fixedly in one end wall 12 and disposed on the longitudinal axis of the chamber 10. The chamber comprises a cylindrical hollow space having a diameter larger than that of the impacting device and closed at its other end by a detachable cover 13 provided with a guide 17 for the corresponding end 16 of the shaft 15. The chamber is reciprocated by an electrically powered eccentric drive at e.g. 3000 strokes per minute.
