1377268 Triazine derivatives B F GOODRICH CO 20 Oct 1972 [21 Oct 1971] 48340/72 Heading C2C [Also in Division C3] 2,4,6 - Tris - (4 - hydroxybenzylthio) triazines are prepared by reacting trithiocyanuric acid, formaldehyde and a phenol of formula where R 1 and R 2 are H, C 1-24 alkyl, C 2-10 cyanoalkyl, C 1-10 alkoxy or C 2-10 (alkoxyalkyl) in the presence of a hydrogen halide. The products are used as antioxidants for polymers.
