Abstract

1376795 Air filter housing DELBAG-LUFTFILTER GmbH 6 Dec 1972 [24 March 1972] 56367/72 Heading BIT An air filter housing has an internal surface 2 against which a removable filter cell 3 is clamped by a frame 10 which is movable vertically in the housing by rotation of a spindle 11. The spindle rotation moves square nuts 13 on opposite handed threads, the nuts carrying pins 22 which slide both in horizontal slots 18, in members 17 secured to the housing wall, and inclined slots 20 in members 19 secured to frame 10. When contaminated with toxic or radioactive dust, the filter cell may be withdrawn through opening 6 into a plastic bag fitted over flange 8. The tightness of seal between parts 2 and 4 may be tested by gas pressure (Fig. 5, not shown).
