Abstract

1376175 Coverings for pipe joints; valves BOPP & REUTHER GmbH 19 Nov 1971 [19 Nov 1970] 53978/71 Headings F2G and F2V In order to enable a sheath 17 to fit like a skin to all parts of a valve or pipe joint which it covers, the sheath is preformed with bulges 23 to fit over protuberances and projections. The sheath may be produced from plastics material by dipping, injection moulding or pressing. For installation, the sleeve may be cut along lines 32 and 33 and re-seamed by welding, vulcanizing or gluing. The edges 28 and 29 may be cemented down to prevent the ingress of moisture.
