1368174 Pipe branches LTG LUFTTECHNISCHE GmbH 23 Nov 1972 [18 Dec 1971] 54221/72 Heading F2G A branch pipe 20 is located and sealed in an opening 19 in the wall 15 of a main duct 16 by a sleeve 10 which has an annular shoulder 12 for abutting the inside wall of the main duct 16 and a flexible trunk portion 11 capable of being turned inside-out to abut the outer surface of the main duct 16. The trunk 11 is initially cylindrical (Fig. 1, not shown). The sleeve 10 is of elastomeric material such as natural or synthetic rubber or plastics and may be an injection moulding. A curved portion 13 of the sleeve intrudes into the main duct 16. The annular shoulder 12 and the end 21 of the trunk 11 may be initially planar or they may be curved to conform to the duct surfaces. The sleeve may be circular or oval in cross-section.
