Abstract

1376043 Post sockets ERNST GRANSTROM AB 1 June 1972 25654/72 Heading E1B [Also in Division F2] A post 2 is held in a tubular socket 3 by a locking pin 12a of a locking plate 12 passing through an aperture in the socket, the pin being held in the aperture by a wedge 13 in wedge space formed by an angle bracket 10 and a wing 9 welded together and to the socket. The upper edge 12c of the locking plate is wider than the lower portion 12b and is pivoted in the wing 9 and the side of the angle bracket, which is welded to the post. The socket is set in a hole in the ground and the locking means is covered by soil after the post has been positioned and secured. To remove a post the soil above the locking means is removed and the wedge merely pushed through the wedge space completely into the ground.
