Abstract

1,252,927. Dismountable posts. LE BAS TUBE CO. Ltd. 13 Feb., 1969 [13 Feb., 1968], No. 7131/68. Heading E1B. A parking post comprises a socket 2 closed by a pivoted cover 4 lying flush with the ground when the post is dismounted and having a receiving aperture 34 on its underside into which a bolt head 14 projecting from the post 8 is inserted as the post is mounted. The bolt is held in place by a padlock passing through hole 16. The intermediate portion of the socket member is cylindrical as is the post, but the base 20 and the upper portion 24 are of square section. A drain aperture 22 is provided. The bolt may be replaced by a similar member which has a head which is rotatable to lock the bolt in place. (For Figure see next page)
