Abstract

1428558 Lamp-post bases PRIC PATENT RESEARCH (INTERNATIONAL) CORP INC 8 May 1973 [9 May 1972] 21844/73 Heading E1B [Also in Division F2] A plate 2, e.g. a footing plate for a lamppost for preventing sinking of the post after installation, is attached to the base of a tubular post 1 by drilling a number of holes 3 in the wall of the post near the end, providing radially directed slots 4 in the plate opposite the holes 3, inserting U shaped pins 5 through the holes 3 and passing their ends through the slots 4, and folding back the projecting ends 5a of the pins 5, as shown, to retain the plate. Additional slots 4a are provided at a different radius from the centre 6 of the plate to enable the latter to be used with a post of different diameter.
