Abstract

1531725 Fencing GLASDON Ltd 31 Oct 1975 [26 Nov 1974] 12131/78 Divided out of 1531724 Heading E1B A post and rail assembly wherein the ends of the rails 11 are suspended on the posts 10 by flexible tethers 16. The tethers are preferably made of rope and pass through apertures in the rails to be retained by knots and through slots 14 or bayonet apertures 22 on the post to be retained by balls 21 and/or knots 20. The posts may be tubular marker cones and have ballast receiving recesses 13. The posts and rails are preferably of plastics. In an alternative the slots are formed in plates secured to tubular constant cross-section posts having integral tubular bases. A number of slots and or holes may be spaced around and/or up and down the post. Each tether may include a spring 19 or rubber sleeve between the knot and the retaining wall.
