Abstract

1374172 Valves EUROPE MFG TRUST REG 15 Sept 1972 [17 Sept 1971] 42819/72 Heading F2V A valve with a body moulded from plastics material, e.g. glass fibre reinforced polyphenilene oxide, has a cylindrical inlet portion 2 defining a chamber 14 which communicates at 15, 16 with chambers defined by partspherical portions 1, 1a. Flow from each of the latter chambers to a respective outlet 12, 13 is controlled by a respective diaphragm 17 controlled by an electromagnetically-operated pilot valve 20, 21 carried by plate 9 to which the valve body is secured by self-tapping screws. The plate includes portions 27, 28 extending through each coil to retain the coils and complete the magnetic circuits. The outlets 12, 13 may alternatively both be coaxial with the corresponding coil or both may be normal to the coil. A third outlet controlled by a further diaphragm and pilot valve may be provided, the outlet communicating with a further chamber defined by a third part-spherical portion (1b) aligned with inlet portion 2.
