Abstract

Watch bracelets; bracelets.-A bracelet fastening for detachably connecting the two ends of a bracelet together or for connecting a watch to a bracelet comprises a link a, Figs. 1 and 2, having two hooked ends a<2>, a<3>, the end a<2> being hinged to a middle link d of an expansible bracelet by a pin a<4> slidable in slots d<3> in the link d. The hook a<2> engages the loop c<2> of the watch c, and the hooked end a<3> snaps over the inner end d<5> of the link d, the contraction of the bracelet obtained by coiled springs e in the inner links maintaining the snap engagement. The link a is adapted to swing inwardly from the bracelet, so that, in use, it lies against the wrist of the wearer, fingerpieces h being provided for operating the link. In a modification, Fig. 7, shown applied for connecting two ends of a bracelet together, the coupling-link a is hinged to an inner bracelet link d so as to swing inwardly, its hooked end a<3> having snap engagement with a reversely hooked end d<2> on the link d. The end d<2> engages a pin f connecting two outer bracelet links g together, and the snap engagement of the swinging link a is obtained by a coiled spring e placed between the end d<3> of the link d and the sliding pivot pin a', the spring c being used solely for the snap engagement.
