Abstract

1373737 Pipe joints SIGRI ELEKTROGRAPHIT GmbH 21 Dec 1972 [30 Dec 1971] 59256/72 Heading F2G A lined duct 5 is connected to an aperture 2 in a lined container body 1, the periphery of the aperture having a ring 3 over which the body lining 4 is drawn with uniform stress, and the lining 7 in the duct being supported against that drawn over tne ring 3 to form a seal. The linings 4, 7 are of synthetic plastics film such as P.T.F.E. or polyimide. As shown, the lining 7 extends over the end of a neck 6 on the duct 5 and this is urged by a spring 8 against the lining 4 drawn over the ring 3.
