Abstract
The specification refers to the Belgian Patent No. 820880 which describes the material used. The two pipes (19, 20) are placed end to end. An inner sleeve (15) fitted with internal grooves, is slipped over the joint. An outer barrel (18) is placed over the inner sleeve.The outer barrel has two 'O' rings on the inside which seal the outside of the inner sleeve. The ends of the inner sleeve are sealed off with washers (27) which are kept in position by locknuts (21, 22).The inner sleeve is shrunk onto the two pipes, and is then tightened from the ends
