[Class 122 (v)] [Also in Group XXVIII] Packing for a stuffing-box comprises an annular sealing member made up of an outer hollow sheath of hard metal and an inner component of formative material such as lead or plastic. The sheath has tapered ends 4, 5. The inner component is correspondingly shaped, but projects slightly at 7A, 7B with respect to the sheath.
